City Winery Nashville presents John Boyle with Genna Matthew live in concert on Saturday, August 19th at 7 PM.
John Boyle Bio:

Known for his smoky vocals and intricate guitar work, John Boyle is an Indianapolis based musician performing across the country. Influenced by Sixties Blues/Rock, Americana, and the singer-songwriter tradition, John has played on stages in Nashville, Chicago, New York, and Austin, opening for the likes of blues legend Jimmy Vaughan amongst others. John has released three albums: Early Lights in 2018, Prelude in 2020, and Somewhere In Between in 2023, with his forthcoming album Soul Driven reaching further into his blues and rock roots.

Genna Matthew Bio:

Nashville folk-pop artist Genna Matthew finds the sonic sweet spot between timeless roots influences and infectious indie-pop hooks. Her evocative lyrics and honey-sweet vocals cut through the noise, straight to the core.

Growing up in the vibrant arts community of Charlottesville, VA, Genna was raised by the area's Folk/Americana scene. Her songwriting has been recognized both regionally and internationally, including the 2019 Grand Prize Winner of Nashville’s Music City Songstar Competition. In 2018 Genna traded the Blue Ridge Mountains for the Spanish coast, where she completed her Masters in Contemporary Music Performance and Production at Berklee’s Valencia campus.

Since returning stateside, she made the move to Nashville, TN, where she has recently wrapped recording for her first full-length album, Broken Record, set to release later this year.

A vibrant departure from her Americana-forward EP, this new album steps into a fresh sonic space that wraps her folk-inspired writing in a lush, indie-pop atmosphere.
